Corel DRAW Part 2



What is an object?
In CorelDraw, an object is any item you create or import into your document. It may be a rectangle, a circle, text, a photograph. All work in CorelDraw is done through selecting an object. Various effects can be applied to an object depending on the type of object and the tool you have selected. For this tutorial, choose the Rectangle Tool and create a rectangle. (See Rectangle Tool tutorial in this series.)






















Pick Tool Selection

Pick Tool is one of the most important tools used in Corel DRAW for selection and for editing of the graphic.
1. Open Corel DRAW. Select Rectangle Tool from the toolbox (marked with red circle).













2. Draw rectangle. Once you draw it, it is selected by default.










3. Now select Pick Tool (marked with green circle).













4. Click anywhere outside the rectangle. It will get deselected.



















6. Keep the pick tool within rectangle it will change the cursor into move icon (marked with green circle).













7. Press and drag the mouse button to move the rectangle

CorelDRAW is a feature-packed vector graphics environment which can be used to produce illustrations of just about any description.It can be bought separately or as part of the CORELDRAW Graphics suite which includes CorelDRAW itself, Corel PHOTO-PAINT (bitmap editing and retouching) and Corel R.A.V.E(animation).

Set Page Size/Orientation
Open Page Layout Window

Choose Layout , Page Setup to open the Page Layout Window.






















Set Page Size
Choose size from the option list. Select preset [age size from the paper fly-out,or set the height and width manually.You can also choose the unit of measure for page size from the fly\out besides the Width setting.




















Set Page Orientation
choose Portrait (taller than wide) Or Landscape(Wider than tall).

Introduction to Graphic Deseigninig

The first question comes into mind is that "what is Graphic Designing"?
The answer can be that It is the Representation of the "THOUGHTS".

Graphic designing includes different medias which are as follows:
1-Print media
2-Web media
3-Structural media
4-Electronic media

Print media includes Banners , Broacher etc which can be designed by using the designing software COREL DRAW.
Web media is related to the wed designing and development and Macromedia Flash is software that is used for the Web designing.
Structural Media is the media related to the Structural designs like Auto CAD is an example of its software.
